It’s easy to see another Trevor Lawrence/Kelly Bryant situation brewing.

Competition between two 5-star QBs. Where’s the downside.
Only negative is that the loser will be in a position of just quitting rather than helping the Team from the bench.
Especially if the incumbent gets displaced.
This is where college football is being badly damaged by the current rules.

I would agree at first, but it's not the same

KB won the ACC and took us to the playoffs. No he wasn't a 5star but he was very successful that year. I am not sure what DJ's issues are but he didn't look the same this year as his two starts last year. If he doesn't imrove by the spring and Cade comes in as expected, it won't be the 4th game when the reigns of the offense are given to him as it was with Trevor.

L've said it before and I'm saying it again. Will the coaching staff bench DJ and let CK play next year or will they continue to try to protect him like they did this year.

I see one of two things happening here, this kid is a stud, plenty of footage on YouTube on UnderTheRadar channel, he can easily be a day 1 starter. That’s 1 scenario, the other is he elevates DJU game. The main reason DJU never hit his stride is there was no competition behind him to make him push to be better. Cade will do that. My prediction is DJU gets it between the ears and turns the corner in 2022 season and Cade is backup. Depending on what happens with Elliot on the Duke/UVA hire will determine everything. The vanilla offense has got to go, open it up and let the QBs ball like they used to.
