Please pass this on to all powers that be! Students should go back to classes on time. It is very simple using common sense. Use masks, hand sanitizers and disinfectant sprays. You don't have to have all this social distancing. This will work for sporting events too. Most people are healthy enough to withstand the "virus". But if some people don't want to go to classes let them stay home and be lead by fear. Eventually those people will have to go forward. Stating my opinion about this is intended to be positive and let's move forward. Go Clemson Tigers! ????

I might have given you your first point, but you're the one who earned it.

Go, my child, and earn many more.

I'm all about stuff starting back up but some caveats here

May 14, 2020, 8:25 AM [ in reply to Re: TNET: Chamber of commerce president: Clemson is 'dead in the water' without students' return ]

Looking at the whole nation, we're talking about millions of kids going to back to college, with millions of professors and university employees alongside them. I agree that common sense can be used, but the fact is that requires equipment. Masks, hand sanitizer and disinfectant products are simply not available in those kinds of quantities right now, so if that were a criteria, we wouldn't be able to open colleges back up.

Somebody didn’t get the message. ‘townies’ hate the school

May 13, 2020, 3:44 PM

The school has absolutely RUINED Clemson!

Never mind that the only reason there is a town at all is because the university was there first.

Otherwise it would be the size of Norris and he trains would not even stop there.

Clemson residents LOVE the University

May 13, 2020, 5:00 PM

Almost everyone living in Clemson moved located here because of Clemson University in one way or another. They also understand the impact of the University on their lives, which is mostly very favorable.
What many Clemson residents DON'T like is the rampant growth of CU enrollment in the last 20 years and the resulting number of off-campus student housing projects and the impact on the city infrastructure, specifically traffic and parking.

I've lived here all my life and still have no desire to live anywhere else but where the Blue Ridge yawns its Greatness, where the Tigers play.
Let's just play, please!!!
