Yes. And oh, by the way, Beaux Collins will not play Saturday because of a hammie. Can't we ever get, "no one is injured"? But it is good news about Randall.

4 months until kickoff is a bit optimistic for games, but he should at least be doing drills by then.

I must be losing my mind ... never thought I'd find it to be "good news" about someone's torn ACL.
But I'm sho' 'nuff glad about the good news!

a "clean cut" and no swelling. That doesn't seem right, but can't say I have ever had a clean cut ACL.

The no swelling boggles my mind. I blew mine out playing and my knee was the size of a watermelon before they stuck a needle the size of my arm in there and drained it. I guess everyone is different, hopefully recovery will be swift and he comes back better than ever.

Agree. But then I've never been in the shape Adam is. We're all praying for you Adam.
We all know Dabo's injury timeline. Add about 2 months is the norm. Everyone is different but look at Will Taylor, won't even let him swing a bat yet. Had his surgery in October? I think.
But, shoot, if we get him back a couple games b4 ND, I'll be ecstatic.

You are not wrong. Week 1 equals the SC Game. Love our coach but his injury timeline usually requires a 2-3 week + correction.

The number of ACL tears due to “CUTS”, seems too high…

…Is there some technique coaching to be considered here?
I get the concept of a sharp cut to get some space from the DB. However, perhaps the HARD PLANT on the knee and THEN the CUT, may not be worth the risk of the ACL tear.
There is also the ANGLE at which the knee is getting planted that may have an affect. Maybe, I’m thinking this through too much.
I still cringe thinking about DW4’s ACL tear at GT. I believe his knee was even in the air as he re-coiled his knee as it seemed to tear, or as it may have torn on his immediate previous step.
I’m just thinking of how these NON-CONTACT knee ligament tears can be mitigated through technique.
