There's two other teams that's passed for less yards against Louisville than we did. Eastern Kentucky and BC. So their D wasn't exactly a shock.

We had the middle and tight ends we could have exploited. And yet knowing they were keying on the run, we continue to try it. Whatever happened to taking what the D gives you.

The true star of the game for us was BT Potter for shaking off some misses and making field goals to lead us to the win.

Yes, BT Potter was huge. I should have given him more kudos. Huge for him to bounce back.

Offense propels win?? Come on Ryan

The offense may have been on par with the defense but let’s don’t act like they won the game. Better than previous games? Absolutely!! Great to see the improvement? Of course.
I guess we are so happy to make a few passes and score more than 20 we are ready to announce them “Champions” like Tennessee?
Glad to get the win but let’s not kid ourselves. I was more excited to see a few plays where our WR blocked and made a few tough plays. That is a revolutionary change for this years team.
UL also played six in the box most of the night so not sure why we couldn’t run better - OL was mauled all night.
Our offense will need to make big strides to beat Wake so it is good to see growth. Hopefully Pace and Mafah are healthy as we will need our run game against them.

Yes the offense propelled the win.

30 points is a good showing for our offense and Louisville ran the ball down our throats most of the night. Don’t get me wrong I’m proud of what the defense did on their last four plays but they were gashed all night long with the run game. They also allowed the busts that led to Louisville having the ball 1st and goal at the 2. It was a total team effort and Ryan is absolutely correct to say that the offense propelled the win this time. Coming back from 10 points down and DJ limping in for the game winner is definitely worth giving credit where credit is due.

The defense was indeed guilty of numerous busts

in the game... mostly due to taking really bad angles on Cunningham. However, I don't consider the two pass plays that gave Louisville 1st and goal on the 2 to be busts by the defense. On the 45-yard completion, we had the receiver doubled and he made an incredible catch. On the completion down to the 2 on 4th down, I felt that it was incredible individual effort by both Cunningham and the receiver... there's no defense against a catch like that (although I still don't know how Goodrich didn't get a hand on the ball). The only way I could classify either of those plays as busts is the failure of the pass rush to get to Cunningham... but that's been the case all year... we get pressure on the QB, but can't actually "get to him."

Sadly, all of that could have been avoided if our OC had been a little more imaginative on our last possession (after the 4th-and-6 stop at the 23 yardline)... but, as usual, he played to "not lose" instead of "to win." I don't disagree with running the ball, but how about running something the defense is NOT expecting?

Anyway, great win for the Tigers! I don't know how many more of these my heart can take.
