New York City heads to Clemson: Former Tiger brings prospects to camp
Pat Godfrey grew up on Long Island watching the Clemson team run down the hill on television, and promised himself he would make his dream of playing for the Tigers come true. Now he’s helping young people from New York City realize their dreams of playing college football and is bringing a group of prospects down for this weekend’s Dabo Swinney camp. Full Story » |

Great stuff and I wish all these young men nothing but success in their effort to improve their lives. One thing, is it just me or has Isaiah Simmons become the guy everyone is compared to? This is like the 3rd guy this week. While we are at it, can we get another Christian Eilkins, Grady Jarett or Vic Beasley? I would happily settle for another Cle Ferrell or Shaq Lawson as well!

Sounds like a blessing for these kids. I'm sure there's a lot of undiscovered talent in small towns and bad neighborhoods all over this country. I hope they have a great, eye-opening trip to the south and beautiful Clemson University. I'll be pulling for them.

Just remember; 32 years ago, Levon Kirkland walked in from scholarship from little Lamar High School that nobody had heard about. As they say, the rest is history.

I love the fact that a former player brings back 7 young men. That speaks volumes of how the program is one of a kind. I know this will mean a lot to those young men. Recruiting just went up another level up north . Go Tigers !!

The thing that caught my eye ----- that 1340 on the SAT. Somebody is doing it right and we can use a whole lot more of this. Just imagine what Dabo could do in changing a young man's life style. Unfortunately, we had one from New York two or three years ago that did not heed Dabo's advice.
