Totally agree, and Dabo has done a great job recruiting quality coaches and players players from Texas.
Clemson is unique, and a great alternative for great Texas folks!
I am sure Riley will have more recruiting success in Texas.

Yes it is, nasty and violent is what we've been asking for for years, and hopefully this will mean we finally get Nasty & Violent + Sinfully Violently Nasty!!!! But I do wonder what was going through Dabo's mind when that answer came out of Riley's mouth. Dabo, OH NO, surely not violent, Garrett, violent is unacceptable, maybe a little tough!!!

Sounds GREAT from Garrett Riley ! As Dabo said football plays are the same . Go back and look at the 2019 CFP Title game against LSU and the 2020 loss to OSU, it boils down to the line of scrimmage , mental toughness and physical toughness and a refuse to lose mentality. Georgia has proven that the last 2 years, before that it was us CLEMSON and before that Alabama. We need better OL play and get a little better on defense especially in the secondary. GO TIGERS !

That was a cringe-worthy comment to be sure. Unless Swinney is saying he will give him some tips on running your own program and winning Nattys, something his brother hasn’t done.

Dabo needs to mostly be hands off during the game and let Riley do his job.
It seemed that he was very involved in each play call lately. I believe that was part of the problem.

Exactly. Doesn't matter if we run for 6000 yards or pass for 6000 yards. 40 Points a game is the standard (with 38 being the minimum based on our recent playoff years). Ideally? 45 points a game, but 40 means "F'n great".

You don’t think an assistant coach, who is an up and coming future head coach, can learn something at Clemson? We are one of the most respected, well run, consistent programs in the country. One of the best 10-year runs of football in college history.
Of course Riley will learn.

I had that exact same thought. I described our old offense to a friend as "Zero-calorie, diet Chad Morris with a twist of Rob Spence." I don't want any of that anymore.

That I did sitting in stands surrounded by UT fans. My ### cursed in concourse entire halftime of this exact thing. Thanks coach. I went to school with Street but nobody above the program. Nobody. I believe Riley’s ethic, energy and know how will flip this program to where it was just 5 short years ago.

Dabo is not good as a play caller. He hasn't been good. He is awesome at being the CEO. Be the CEO - let Riley run the offense, win games, rinse repeat.
