The only position we should really worry about is the bean slinger! We have depth and good backup options, it’s DJ’s time to shine and show us all that wasn’t the real him last season.

I feel much better about this team because of our backup is going to be incredible when he comes in regardless. We hit on Cade Klubnik, the kids a winner.

Also Will Taylor in the slot is going to be so dependable, the one great thing about a quick baseball season is he can be ready by training camp to dominate.

I was one of the biggest haters on DJU. I think his decision making ability is suspect and his skill set isn't the best fit for our offense. But, I also know that the O-line has to improve greatly for him to have a shot at being what we all want him to be. He can't be worried about being abused in the pocket and he has to have time to make a decision, good or bad. I don't think he had that at all last season. A healthy WR corps will help as well.

I like the positive spin for Will Taylor. If we get that slot position in good shape, should help out our QB too. I'm personally high on Antonio Williams even though he is frosh. His hands are like super glue.

could you imagine our year if 5stars DJU, Ngata, and Ladson

Jun 6, 2022, 9:41 AM

all played like the elite players they were tabbed to be and then have the defense that we have today? This team would be akin to the some of the greats of all time. 5 stars at all key positions witha top 5 defense. We'd be scoring 35 a game and allowing 10.

Hopefully Ladsen doesn’t play up to his potential when we see him 11/19

Regarding DJ, let's not forget that when he had those big games a few years ago, he was throwing to two reliable and current NFL receivers. Last year his most reliable receivers were Davis Allen (te) and Will Swinney...let that sink in.

1) Love Briningstool's potential. New TE coach should help. So far Elliott and coaches have wasted Davis Allen's incredible potential.
2) We know Swinney loves Ngata. Must be a great practice player. Hopefully, Ngata will have his 1st healthy year and produce in 2022.
3) Will Putnam. Lots of love from coaches. Very poor game grades every season to date. Coaches trusted shaky Bockhorst at center more than Putnam last year. This is concerning.
4) Slot receiver. Wide open. Beaux can play big time. But agree Tigers can use him outside until EJ is healthy.
5) DJ. How soon can Cade start? How much longer will 2020 games be referenced as pertinent to DJ's potential when he played every game last year & was rated the worst QB in mediocre to avg ACC?

Lots of talent on Clemson's Offense that can emerge with some blocking and the top QB on the field ...

The stuffing

Jun 7, 2022, 10:07 AM

I'll add more than just a player, but an entire region of the field; the middle.

The game-planning last season (& arguably the year before) seemed to deliberately avoid the middle of the field on designed passing downs.

That's not necessarily on DJU or Trevor, but having a new play-caller & coach who has said & shown he'll use the middle of the field is something to get sincerely excited about for Clemson's evolution on offense; the TE's, for example, may be the best-kept secret on the roster this season, & frankly I can't wait to see it happen.

Make no mistake, DJU does have everything it takes to win with this team & schedule outright, & it may very well happen all season long.

Why are there always exactly FIVE things in these articles?!

Jun 15, 2022, 4:41 AM

Are we really to believe that there are never 4 things or 6 things? There is clearly numerical bias in the reporting, if not flagrant numberism.
