Did you see this yet? Interesting, the big picture at least.

It’s because Belichick and Saban are good friends and he knows Saban can’t win a Natty til Trevor moves on.

The idiots do not realize that money does not drive all decisions. I honestly believe that Trevor may play four years for us. So if we land DJ, we could have an interesting situation. Our DL set the example. We have other players that will follow their lead. Trevor himself made the comment he would like three more championships. He is not money hungry.

You are spot on. Trevor is on record saying that football is NOT the most important thing in his life. Yes, he loved winning the Natty as a freshman, but I think he really wants to enjoy the college experience. I heard one of his professors say he was very engaged in the classroom. Let him be a college kid and keep winning for the Tigers.

he's a good kid, you can tell he was raised the right way

I'm not worried one bit.

Like a few of the posters above, I'm confident that TL is here for at least 2 more years, and hopefully 3. He appears to be a smart, well grounded kid, whose parents have instilled some great values. Academically he's doing well, and appears to embrace the College experience (I have no first hand knowledge of this, it's merely what I read and hear).

As for Brady's agent, the fact that kids might read this, and I like to appear to have some gentlemanly qualities, I decline to put my feelings into words.

I for one hope it doesn't happen.
I am so sick and tired of Tom Brady this, Tom Brady that, and the whole frickin'Patriot Organization.
I am a Cowboy fan, but I pull for DeShaun and the Texans because I like the team.
But swearing on the graves of all my ancestors who fought in whatever war you want to mention, if Trevor Lawrence ever gets hooked up with the Patriot Organization, I'm done with him.

I love Belichick. He’s the best coach of all time. I can’t stand Brady. He’s a system QB who gets way too much credit for Belichick’s success. Peyton Manning would have won twice as many Super Bowls as the Patriots QB. Brady does not go to 4 Super Bowls with the teams Peyton Manning took there.

If TL gets Belichick for 10 years, they might win 10 Super Bowls!

I don't think this will be an issue with Trevor

Feb 1, 2019, 7:45 AM

However it absolutely will be an issue for college football, particularly the elite programs. It will be hard to sell a kid on college when there's the opportunity to get paid to play and still be noticed by the NFL.

I think you'll see a day soon where at least 50% of the elite talent (4-5* Players) are taking this route assuming this league can remain financially viable. And I think the NFL will support it as essentially a farm system.

Couple this with the transfer portal and it's really going to create a huge level of parity in college football in the near future.

IMO, TL will graduate in 3 years, end up with 2 or more Nattys and move on to the NFL. The only way I think he stays for 4 years is if the Tigers don't win the Natty his Junior year or he is still trying to get his 2nd one.

Doubt this will end up affecting college football from a talent standpoint.

The NCAA will just have to start paying players.

Not sure the logistics of this new league, but who the hell is going to watch it? Who wants to watch 18 year olds playing football when they are not affiliated with a university people went to.

They will at least have to pay 55,000 annually (based off of the math in my head)to compete with college. I don't think that this league will be able to pay that per person.

Stipend: 12,000 annually

Housing: 8,000 annually

Food: 5,000 Annually

Education: 30,000 Annually

You mean the NCAA has to start paying players more than they already do? Between the education, room and board, and stipend, they also get world class training, conditioning, and tutoring.

Yes, it's called business.

If a competitor comes in and offers a better product/opportunity, then you have to alter your offering to not lose the business.

Simple economics

Luckily, CFB already has the infrastructure in place so there's not much the NCAA would have to do.

Really? A 4 team Pacific league, that offers tuition at a community college to be drafted in the NFL in two years.

Trevor is smart enough not ruin his college eligibility by playing in a league that probably wont make one full season. Furthermore it seems like hes the type of guy that likes the college experience.
