Times Change!

Sep 4, 2016, 10:21 PM

Am I the only one that actually is finding joy in all the Tiger brethren that are not happy about last nights performance? Maybe I look at things differently.... I know this, if we had gone into Auburn 4 to 5 years ago, and came out with a 6 point win to open the season, we would all be jumping for joy! Were we as sharp as we are capable of, no. Is there room for improvement, yes! Has Clemson nations expectations changed? You better believe it, and I love it! Look at it this way, we could be opening up as a 0.5 point dog to a team that lost to South Alabama last week LOL! It is great to be a Clemson Tiger! God Bless!

That's a 9.5 dog to a team that lost to S Alabama.

Expectations have definitely changed. It's not bad because the criticisms for the first game have some merit there.

I hope it's not getting worse though. I recall the time when Florida State lost some game early in the season and they called the season as over as the chance of getting to National Title was already shattered. Then, they started calling for Bowden's head.

Will it happen to us? Possibly.

When Watson's gone, if, say, Clemson wins 9 games a year for a couple of years, will majority of Clemson fans take it and let Dabo do his job?

Based on what I saw during Bowden era, I doubt it.
