Well, 35 years ago it was.
Looking at the webcams it looks like a beautiful day in God's Country! Nary a cloud in the sky.

I do remember The Study Hall. Not sure about the mini mall place you are talking about.
Noticing your name, I also had a roommate from Panama named Edgard Riba in 1982.

Downstairs at the mini mall was Quarters. At some point Bash Riprocks opened upstairs.

Sounds about right - same building.
Nicks opened up about that time too on Sloan Street.

Give the bartender two dollars. He gives you a pitcher of beer and a wooden nickel that was good for another pitcher.

I don't know what it was 35 years ago, but in mid 2000's it was still only $5. Love me some TTT.

Have we all forgotten the Tiger Den!!

Longest running bar in Clemson when it closed. ####... bartended there and more good times than... well I can remember.
Bengal Huddle downstairs.
Sand poured in when Bobby thought he could make downstairs a beach bar.
I still have one of the side lights from beside the fireplace downstairs.
Good times indeed.
