Granted, Trump courted the fringe and let the establishment pubs if you will split the rest of the vote. Now it's kinda the opposite with MAGA now being mainstream and there being little to no difference between Trump, DeSantis, and Scott.

That Trump sucks all the oxygen out of the room, I genuinely (politics aside) don't think that anyone outside of South Carolina knows who Tim Scott is.
Nikki Haley at least had the platform of being UN ambassador.
Of course (excepting the current POTUS) Senators don't generally fair well in Presidential races.

What I admired so much about Scott is he kept his head down

and did his job. He didn't seem to have any desire or need for the limelight. That's why nobody knows of him. It should be a huge plus for him, but unfortunately it will work against him.

He's an incredibly popular Senator, who has been in office a long time, and has never had a real serious challenge. That's a long time to bankroll campaign cash.
