Why is there a scheduled rebuttal? What if you agree with what the president says? What if they come to you for your rebuttal and you have to be like "Yeah, I concur"? Why is the rebuttal scripted anyway? Is the manuscript already being given out to everybody? How do I get my hands on one?
basically, if we're so divided that it's a given that one side doesn't give an eff what the other side says then democracy was flushed away a long time ago.
Also.. McMaster shouldn't be allowed to run for governor again. He was given extra years when Haley left. He needs to get his naturally powdered hair back to Charleston and learn to make a killer mint julep.

I do agree that it’s a shame we can’t agree on anything. But we already know where Biden and democrats want to take us. So, there’s very little chance he will say anything I personally agree with.

The rebuttals to the president's speeches and SoTU are some of the dumbest things in politics and part of why our nation keeps getting divided.

Just read through the families plan... I mean, I’d be excited for it if I was a low or middle income family, but this is just pure and simple wealth redistribution. The problem is, the ultra-wealthy that are always the target of animosity, and RIGHTFULLY SO, are never the ones who bear the brunt of these tax increases, it’s high-earning working people who end up taking it up the rear over and over again.
I mean whatever, I can just stay put and wait for a sunnier day to realize gains. But increasing marginal income tax rates or upping payroll taxes? GTFO, that’s real, and felt, and has consequences. Why can’t anyone come up with a creative way to get at the tremendous wealth locked away out of circulation that the top tiny fraction of the 1% holds? No, it’s always screwing over high-earning working people.
