Tigers gather in groups only when they breed - unlike lions

who live full time in “prides”. Those temporary gatherings of tigers are known as a “streak” or an “ambush”. Either term is pretty cool. You don’t want to get caught in an tiger ambush during mating season. Much safer to hang out with a flock of dirt peckers if you can put up with all the crap.
