Tigernet, I need your support (updated)

Jul 2, 2014, 11:36 AM

***UPDATE***
Thanks to David Hood for his assistance. This matter should now be taken care of. :D
************

I emailed Clemson asking if I can buy the Ladies Clinic shirts for my mom who can't attend due to her stroke. I am willing to pay for them...

this is the response I got:
Good Morning Suzanne - I will say no, because we don’t normally sell the shirts, but if you sign her up for the clinic, and pick up her stuff when your here, then yes, you can have it then.
J Williams Wilks
JILLANA@clemson.edu

...why would I pay the $70 registration fee for someone who cannot phyically attend just for the shirts? That fee also pays for lunches & entertainment. Quite frankly, I am more than ticked and am questioning even going now.

I immediately replied:
Hi Jill,
This answer really disappoints me, as I would expect a lot more from Clemson towards a faithful fan under the circumstances.

I’m sure that Dabo would be more than willing to sell a shirt to me for my mother, whom he sent a card to after her stroke, and whom he met at the Charlotte Prowl & Growl. He is well aware that we are using the upcoming football season as part of her therapy goals. Anything Clemson football related brings a smile to her face and she is working harder than ever, as football season is fast approaching, to be able to walk again.

Suzanne

Anyone who wants to support my mother, if you would send an email in support, I would appreciate it. I trust in the power of tigernet.

suzi, i'll happily help. would we be better signing

Jul 2, 2014, 11:39 AM

something en masse or filling up a mailbox with emails that might not be read?

perhaps higher up the food chain? i'd hate to "shoot the messenger".

Thanks. I cc'd Dabo's email on the return message,

Jul 2, 2014, 11:45 AM

we shall see what kind of response that gets.

I'm just really ticked off right now. That was not at all the response I was expecting from Clemson.

Having attended the ladies clinic for many years, I know that she is the one who organizes the event and I don't believe she is just the messenger.

My suggestion is

Jul 2, 2014, 11:57 AM

to send Coach Swinney an email, letter,...whatever, and let him know the circumstances. I suspect he'll do more than just sending along a t-shirt for your Mom.

Good thing you have friends in High Places...It's a shame

Jul 2, 2014, 2:31 PM

Wow, that idiot needs some customer service training as well as a few grammar and spelling classes.

I'm embarrassed as a Clemson alumnus for one of our own

Jul 2, 2014, 3:24 PM

to have received an e-mail like that.

Crass, flippant and chintzy are words that come to mind, and I think you should forward it to the AD , for it, also, comes across as thoughtless and heartless.

I am happy, however, that David was able to help you.
