I still remember how he bagged it in the 2015 championship game against Bama. If he and Green had played better then 3rd team middle school DBs we would have won by 14. He was more concerned about his draft status than playing his heart out for the Tigers.

Boulware never said any names but he talked about as a team leader he was going to make sure the focus was on winning a natty. You could tell who he was referring too and the situation he was talking about.

Dogging it, don't get it, on any play in any game and there were times it was an obvious lack of effort. If you get beat, so be it, but give your best every play! No jogging or backing off during a play.

I feel the same. Very disappointed in his effort at the end of that season. Glad he seems to be doing better in Dallas.

It was more he and Alexander. A lot of stories before the game were suggesting Alexander May sit, he ended up playing and went out “injured” I believe played about one half (can someone confirm) and I always thought it was some sort of way to play one half as a compromise. All 3 we’re playing not to get hurt, watch kearse in the game closely it was probably most obvious with him.

If I remember right Alexander got hurt in the Oklahoma game so I'd imagine any stories about him missing the NC game would've been due to that. I can't imagine any player going hard all season long and deciding to miss the 2nd half of the NC game out of worry of getting hurt. The same is true for "dogging it" in the NC game after playing hard all season.
Now, is it possible that Kearse and Green may have not been as "All-In" as they should've been during practice/film study leading up to the game due to distractions of thinking about the next level? I suppose that's quite possible, but you'd have a hard time convincing me they were out there being out of position or avoiding contact on purpose out of fear of being hurt.

Yeah, literally the first time I've ever heard Mac's name come up as one who "checked out" so to speak and I have frequented the boards regularly since 2012.
+1 to this post as I just don't see someone "sitting out" the natty -- this is a game you WANNA ball out in if you're trying to impress scouts.
Not saying Jayron or Green might've been thinking ahead, but Mac... I highly doubt Mac was thinking about checking out the natty.

after a 73 yard pass to the 8 late in the 4th quarter vs Louisville in 2014 with the Tigers up 6. It was a game saving tackle since Deshawn Williams batted down the 4th down pass from the 1. It was a game Cole Stoudt had to finish at QB since Deshaun Watson went out with an injury in the 2nd quarter.

Yes, he was a very good player for the tigers,
People hold that title game against him and few others...but those oj Howard plays were not on them that was scheme and coaching

Yes, I watched 3-4 Dallas games this year and thought he played well. Saw him create two turnovers. Maybe the change to Dallas is just what he needed to flourish.
