How will we beat Georgia?

Aug 7, 2021, 6:49 PM

Like an Alabama back up QB in a championship game that matters?
Like a 2019 Gamechicken 24.5 underdog at Athens?
Like a Texas Shorthorn?
Like the underachieving 5-star laden team they have been since 1980?

Through the air and on the ground. Ultimately we

Will score more points than they do.

Sounds fair to me. So all of the above ;)

Clemson must go fast and go hard.
So lets beat them properly this time.

On paper uga is the best team in the country. They recruit more 5 stars and have more 5 star transfers than anyone else. But lucky for us they are the best team on paper every year, but still come up short!

just hang around until they fall apart in the 4th. I do not even think we will have to try in this one.

I find it comical that folks on here treat this game like it’s a Syracuse or Wake Forrest…

If Clemson isn’t physical they don’t win…period. UGA has a good football team.

Its just trash talking. I don't think anyone seriously thinks the game will be anything a great close and competitive game. Have a little fun ;)

The community of Lil Ole Clemson emits love that energizes the team on the field to beat the Evil Empire.

Clemson orange is light at its brightest. We are on the bright, right side of that metaphor.

Our D line is going to get to their “Heisman” QB and then that will be that.

The difference will be our passing game

Aug 7, 2021, 11:16 PM

Both teams are good at stopping the run.

Both teams are good at stopping the run.

Agreed. Both teams are pretty stout up front. That makes running the ball for either team tough sledding. But one team has the ability to stretch a defense with their passing game and a bevy of frisbee catching dogs while the other team, well not so much.

As well, Georgia’s defensive line is built to stuff the run between the tackles. I think you can count on them to perform well in that capacity. Just don’t count on Tony Elliott to be so simple as to merely run headlong into the teeth of that defensive front.

You watch, you’re gonna see Georgia players falling down and feinting being mortally wounded a lot. In the SEC it just means more cheap theatrics.
