THREE Seminoles Flagged for Failing NFL Drug Test (c/p)

May 6, 2014, 7:13 PM

(BTW--all NFL draft prospects were told they'd have to take this same drug test AND the day it would be given. That ANY of them flunked it is nearly unbelievable--sorry if germanic)

FSU draft prospects Timmy Jernigan, Telvin Smith and Christian Jones reportedly fail drug test at NFL Combine

Orlando Sentinel
11:11 a.m. EDT, May 6, 2014

Three former FSU players reportedly failed drug tests at the NFL Scouting Combine.

DL Timmy Jernigan, LB Telvin Smith and LB Christian Jones were among 10 players who were “flagged” on a test they took in February, according to a report from Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer.

A failed test means that a player either tested positive for a drug or had diluted urine.

Jernigan began the offseason as a projected first-round selection. Many mock drafts still have him going in the middle of the first round, but some experts have him going early in the second round and recently opted to not attend the NFL Draft as originally planned. It is unclear whether the failed test has impacted his stock or his decision to be at the draft.

Smith is expected to go in the second or third round. Jones is considered a fourth-round prospect. He was suspended for a game because of an unspecified a violation of team rules this past season.

Other players to reportedly fail the drug test include LSU QB Zach Mettenberger LSU DT, and Miami OL Seantrel Henderson.

They probably failed drug test while playing last year also. Just another hush, hush, like most of their player crimes. We would have never known about the Winston crimes if they hadn't been out side of the University.

Anyone care to open their eyes and see what "suspended for breaking team rules " means

Every school has guys each season suspended for the smoking pot coverup rule!

Suspended for breaking team rules could mean about 2 dozen things at Clemson , or many other universities around the country.
At USuC it has no meaning , because there apparently are no team rules to break. The only standing rule that I can decipher during the Spurcock era is don't be late for kickoff (which you know is happening when you see the smoke and hear the jorted ones hooting) and never , under any circumstance should you forget to erase the taping of his show in which his unlikable co-host has to hold him upright so that he doesn't faceplant onto the unswept floor.
