When we gave up 70 to wv nobody cared to think about what good could come out of it in the moment. We were all too upset right? It led to Brent Venables which led to national championships. Good can also come out of this if we get a new basketball coach. It could end up being a good thing that we lost yesterday if it leads to a new coach that leads to more success. Let’s be honest, even if we made the tourney this year, it would’ve been by a hair with a veteran team that made a sweet 16 the year before. We didn’t improve at all. Wasn’t finished. What’s to expect when the incoming freshmen are veterans in a couple years? How can we expect to see development and improvement? We’re the only acc team ever to have what we did come back and be this much worse. If that loss yesterday gets Brownell fired it will be a good thing we lost

Change coaches if you like. I've heard enough of this. It WON'T CHANGE ANYTHING THOUGH ! It just starts us all over again. This goes much deeper than a coach. To compare fb and BB at Clemson is not a fair comparison at all. The CULTURE must change.

Let's see if I have this straight. To win we need a culture change. But, only winning will change the culture. You guys DO realize that this is a circular argument that makes no sense. I am pretty sure the "Dabo Swinney culture" is very different from the "Tommy Bowden culture." And the culture change occurred way before the winning. Brownell is a solid, boring coach. And the team is a solid, boring team. Purnell's teams may not have won much more, but they were more fun to watch.

It won't do anything to recruiting. We sucked before we landed all the good transfers. Now that we have better facilities a new coach can recruit immediately. We have to get a coach that can pull the upset on the recruiting trail

thing either. We are the National Champions in football, therefore we should also be kings of basketball, baseball, soccer, equestrian and bass fishing

We should make the tourney in baskeball with veteran teams. We should be winning regionals in baseball. The standard in baseball is to get to that point. Realistically it will never happen in basketball but we can at least do better than 1 tournament appearance in how many years?

Soccer should make a run and be nationally competitive. They have two natties and several finals appearances.
Baseball has been so good for so long without reaching the promise land. We should be competitive there.
Golf should also be tops.
Basketball should be good within our investment.
