That's quite a trick, considering A&M - which has arguably the deepest pockets in college football - did something like $4 million total in NIL money last year and had done something like $3.5 million at the start of this year, though of course that amount will probably grow as the season goes along.

That's certainly not chump change, but if you do the math that's something like an average of $47K per scholarship athlete. The days when college players average a million bucks a player is probably - hopefully! - a good ways off.

I find it interesting that last year there was a lot of reporting about the amount of $ a college player was making. This year not so much. Like they don't want the public to know. I imagine for some players it's pretty ### good.
