This time of year I get jealous of you that are closer

I wish that I was closer to Clemson. I have really enjoyed my 2nd" career and being able to live a few years in several very different locations, but this time a year I am certainly jealous of many of you that can get to the upstate on a regular basis.


I Had 5 years in Scottsdale, AZ that happened to span two trips by our tigers there. Loved it out there!

About a year in Cleveland Ohio, understand completely why they call it the "mistake by the lake".


And I am starting my first football season down in Bradenton Beach Florida, between Tampa and Sarasota. I am enjoying the gulf coast. I am a bit pensive about the weather this weekend, but I have enjoyed the changes. My home is in Knoxville, and the wife of 35 years, keeps it running and travels to see me fairly often or vice versa. Come to think of it, I didn't see much of her the year I was in Cleveland.


Another interesting , at least to me, tidbit about Bradenton. I met a fellow Tiger down here "John Horne" about a year younger than me would have been at Clemson 80 -84ish? He owns four Oyster Bars down here. If you ever get down this way, have a beer and some oysters or seafood in one of them! Good eats.


"Anna Maria" Oyster Bar www.oysterbar.net , he hosts a Clemson viewing party for all the games on his 14ths Street location, and has the sports area of that location permanently decorated with a good bit of Clemson gear. I think that I will watch from there tonight. If I do I will try to get some pictures of the turn out. One of his locations is on the Anna Maria Island. I have made a point of visiting all four.


Go Tigers, I am curious where other "transplanted" tigers tend to gather for viewing with fellow tigers.
