I like our chances to make the playoffs, however I very seriously doubt we get in with one loss this year. They are just itching to drop us in the rankings. Heck, we didn’t even lose and got dropped. What do you think will happen if we actually lose

If they continue to grow and improve throughout the season, they most certainly can. We’re not there yet, but looking better each week

Before tonight I would have said that this is a top twenty team. After tonight, I would say top ten.
That being the case, they may well win out and make the CFP, but let us not make the mistake of thinking that they are on the same level as Georgia, Bama, or OSU. They just are not.
They could very well make the playoffs, but it won't be pretty once we get there.

Everyone plays down to opponents but this years Clemson team appears incapable of blowing out a P5 opponent, which the Top 3 have all done and so did our past championship teams.
You have to be good enough to occasionally, if not regularly, beat mediocre Conference opponents by 30-40 points. I don’t think we will do that once this year

I see where you're coming from as I had been thinking the same thing...until last night. Seeing how the defense played with a number of key players missing has given me more confidence that Clemson may be able to hang with anyone. The offense is still a work in progress but improving with each game. I still worry about the offensive play calling...
