This staff is outworking them all!

May 24, 2013, 10:23 AM

I really like to see when our staff offers an athlete and he has no offers from anyone else. This has happened several times over the past couple of years. It tells me our staff is beating the bushes and following up in a major way. Also in every case where we have offered someone before anyone else, it is just a short time before other schools follow suit and offer as well. I think Saban and Urban Meyer are watching Dabo and his staff very closely.

We were Montravius Adams' first offer, and he would've been the good kind of Tiger if Auburn hadn't gotten in so good with his handler.

i dont think we were adams first offer. how do you rate dabo and staff as evaluators of talent? do you think our recruiting is as good the last two years as it was before? just curious.

As of January 2012, Clemson was the only offer for Montravius Adams. I agree with the OP.

We were his first and I think this staff is doing better than ever. The way recruiting is now, for us to do as well as we are shows the hard work they are doing

I still wish we would have landed Adams. If he decided on Auburn because of Nick Farley's success, he should have looked at the coaches. He will go pro no matter which school he would have chosen. Clemson needed him more than they needed RN.

I think he decided because of Nick Fairley's $ucce$$

As far as evaluating talent

May 24, 2013, 10:51 AM [ in reply to Re: I agree ]

If TJ Green ends up being as good as Dabo says, that will be a really good indicator of this staff's ability to evaluate talent.

respect for Chad, obviously, as he threw a ton of money at him to go to Ohio St.

A Clemson offer is a gateway to SEC offers.***

Clemson was the first to offer D Watson...now look at him...

Also think TJ Greene was a great get that only our staff appeared to pick up on the talent.
