Just got back to the press box from the field...the wind is howling and the kickers (and punt returners) are having all kinds of problems. Have to see how that affects things...
Deshaun has a bandage on his hand, with a big pad covering the top part of the hand below the knuckle. During warm-ups - with a ton of NFL scouts looking on - he would throw a pass and then flex his hand and kind of grimace. Then it would be repeated. The passes look ok, and his zip is there, but he doesn't look entirely comfortable. As one source told me down on the field, "it would take Armageddon for Deshaun to play on a night like tonight."
A former QB was down there with us, and he shook his head and said, "Deshaun isn't ready. Not even close." We have pics and vids coming.

I feel good about him for GT. I mean if he's practiced this week he's gotta be doin ok. Just cold and he's been working the hand a lot this week. He will be ready for GT

Grimace doesn't necessarily mean pain. It could also be a reaction to really stretching it out for the first time and not being happy with the rust.

I've also heard he looked great in practice this week...just not sure they wanna risk him tonight, and with the cold and the wind he probably is just having trouble getting loose. He will be ready for GT...or tonight if Armageddon happens
