2 things about the positive Duke test that don't add up...

1. It seems weird to me someone would test positive right now. I have to think these guys have kept an extremely tight circle leading up to this tournament, both for conference and school protocol. Would be bad if it turned ot to be a false positive.

2. I read somewhere that, if the positive is legit, it could be tied to the basketball team staying at the same hotel as the football team, who has 19 positive cases and have stopped all operations. That seems odd to me. Why would the basketball team be anywhere near that. Obviously, if true, it invalidates my first point. Seems weird though.

Then they used the florida scared university covid rule to avoid the loss. Ironic that it was used against fsu.

Duke is playing the same Covid game that the coots played. Don't play games you think you might lo8se. The coots did that in football and still had a horrible record. The coots have not played us at home in most sports this academic year.

Definitely doesn't add up. I believe the teams are tested every day for 7-10 days prior to the ACC tourney. How do suddenly test positive in the middle of the bubble?

This would be their third game in 3 days against the rested, talented and angry Noles. K knew they would lose and not get a big. He would rather end the season on his own terms and not risk the embarrassment of getting creamed by FSU and not getting a tourney bid.

I think it's irresponsible of the ACC to not have more controlled conditions for the ACC Tournament. It would've been better to just cancel it and allow NCAA Tournament teams to stay healthy and not risk having their season ended due to COVID.

Yep and listen to this. I actually came down with covid while staying at the Washington Duke Inn back in December. Felt fine when I got there but ended up sick as a 3 eyed goat. Isolated in the room and my wife drove us home to SC the next morning. Same hotel as the dookie team!! They are not isolated but I guess like everybody they are doing the best they can.

I don’t know. I’m a dook hater but I really don’t think K would intentionally cancel. They are playing better now. Someone mentioned the hotel where the dook basketball team stays. It’s the Washington Duke Inn on campus. I’ve stayed in that hotel 3 different times since November. I’ve passed the players in the halls several times. They are not exactly “isolated” which was supposed to be the purpose.

positive rate seems to be high...

You could be ending seasons and careers over a false positive test
