Crystal ball = incoming
Big board = outgoing

Coaches have always used a big board for recruiting, though.

I imagine they need even bigger boards now, with the transfer portal being a factor.

And you can have a “crystal ball” for just about anything.

Tyler Davis so overlooked

May 31, 2022, 10:59 AM

As always. Not saying he's Grady Jarrett but he's discounted like GJ. He'll be a force and a steal in the 2nd or later rounds.

If Bresee comes back and plays like Brian Bresee from day 1 after the ACL, there won't be another DT taken before him. There is no better DT in the country.

Murphy is a freak and will plant QB's this season. Should be fun to watch he andanother discounted player with XT.
If he regains the fastest burst off the line I've ever seen, it will be fun watching to see who gets to the QB first.

And for Simpson, there is no better, more complete and versatile LB in the country. Coverage, burst, pass rush, recognition, speed, he's just got ridiculous talent.

Bresee, Murphy Simpson...no-Brainerd 1st round possibly all top 15. Thomas and Davis could both play themselves into the 1st. XT is definitely 1st round talent and ability. TD plays like a 1st rounder. Man I hate to see these guys go but should be a fun year to watch the best front 7 in the country.

Good post - TD is underrated

May 31, 2022, 12:12 PM

clemson man7®He's had some significant injuries holding him back. After 2nd team All-ACC selection as freshman, he missed 5 games with a knee injury in 2020. Then he tore bicep last year, had surgery, lost upper body strength, wore a brace, etc. It's all slowed him down.

With a healthy senior year and renewed training/upper body strength, Tyler Davis could achieve late 1st/2nd round draft pick. Looking for him to dominate in 2022! Go Tigers!

Our best D since the last championship year in 2018…
Offense has to step up, starting with the Ga Tech game!
The 2022 has the talent, they have to put it all together!

Go Tigers, Wreck Tech!

TD has GOT to have an injury free season. NFL teams have

Jun 1, 2022, 8:45 AM

gotten to be very wary of players who have an injury history. They have been burned in the past by some of these. (Can you say CLOWNEY, Boys and Girls? I knew you could.)

we are losing some studs after this season.

we gotta get some significant hardware this year.

No mention of DJ?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm guessing you're talking about the top 5 prediction

May 31, 2022, 5:21 PM

Can't remember who made the prediction. But I'd love to see DJ go top 5. Because if that's the case he's won the Heisman and we've won a National Championship.

Re: I'm guessing you're talking about the top 5 prediction

Jun 1, 2022, 8:37 AM

In reality, there's no shot he goes top 5

DJ simply isn't accurate enough to warrant a top 5 pick. And he has serious mechanical flaws that still need to be addressed, particularly his release. DJ has the arm talent to warrant a late-1st round pick, especially if he has a great year. But he's the type of QB that would need to sit and learn behind a veteran for 2-3 years. He's not as good as Bryce Young or CJ Stroud, both of which could go top 5.

If DJ has a big year, he could elevate himself to a top 3-5 QB in the draft. I just can't see a team risking a top 5 pick on him considering the things mentioned above. But sitting behind an Aaron Rodgers or Matt Ryan would pay huge dividends for him.

This is the money bag season for XT, Davis, Bresee, Murphy & Simpson

Jun 1, 2022, 8:09 AM

Gonna be interesting to see what kinda year they have this season.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The first three names on your list all need to have injury

free seasons. XT, especially, has a lot of history to overcome. That is why he came back, strictly to increase his draft stock. Here's hoping he is hugely successful!
