As I understand the conference football tie breaker process (https://theacc.com/sports/2020/9/23/FB_0923200510.aspx), the WF loss to UNC has no impact in a 3-way tie or in any other potential scenario.

We are 4-1 in the division (5-2 conf) with 1 div game to play
WF is 4-0 in the division (6-0 conf) with 2 div games to play
NCS is 4-1 in the division (4-2) conf with 1 div and 1 non-div conf game to play,

Best Conf winning percentage determines divisional champ. For there to be a 3-way tie, we all must have 6-2 conf records. AFTER we beat WF, the 3-way tie can only occur if WF also loses to BC and NCS wins out.

The first 3-team tiebreaker is head to head. We all would be 1-1.

The next ‘tie breaker’ is the division winning percentage. CU and NCS will be 5-1 in the division. But WF will be 4-2 and eliminated from the tiebreaker. With only 2 teams left tied (NCS and us), the 2-team tiebreaker process is used. The first step is head to head and we are left at home.

For us to make the ACC champ game:
We must beat Wake AND
Wake must lose to BC AND
NCS must lose to either Syracuse or UNC (giving them 3 conf losses and leaving only a 2-way tie for divisional champ between WF and us)

If someone disagrees, please help me understand the error in my interpretation.

We have a chance, we just have to beat Wake Forest, & pray they lose again.... control what we can the best way we can....let’s go Tigers, it would kill the rest of the conference for us to come back & win it all this season..

We have the defense, love to see Dave Doreen’s face if we won it this season! We should have put NC state away in regulation.

Clemson has to beat Wake on Saturday.

Boston College has to beat Wake next week

NC State has to lose one of its last two to either Cuse or UNCheat.
