on a star count (and I'm just eyeballing here) they look almost the same (well Wake has more 2s), including the 4star QB. Why is L'ville so much better than Wake if they are recruiting at the same level. Shows that coaching is more important than star power.

That's really interesting. I went back to 2011, and from 2011 through 2014 Louiville signed a total of only 10 four and five stars. Its amazing that they are competitive.

Louisville players get low stars because they are iffy

academically and may not qualify. Most of WF's players earn their stars the old fashion way-- they suck.

and you can see that Charlie Strong was recruiting better than this year's Louisville class. Not to mention he had a Teddy Bridgewater starting as a freshman.

A high end 3 star is about the same thing as a 4 star. Look at our 3 stars do you really think are lower 4 stars are that much better

versus how good they are. I had looked at most everyone else in the conference and they were very middle of the pack.

paradigm. How much difference does it make when you can accept as many partial qualifiers etc? I dont know, but I expect them to struggle for a bit, though I do think long term they will get higher rated recruits. I am glad they are in the ACC, and wish them the best. 100% upgrade from Maryland and their ilk imo, so not slamming them.
