Bama/UGA "aggressively" pursuing TL per Rivals analyst

Rivals recruiting analyst Nick Krueger passes along that Alabama and Georgia are "aggressively pursuing" Clemson five-star 2018 verbal QB commit Trevor Lawrence.
Expect to hear plenty about Lawrence over the next year, as he has the upside to land as a consensus No. 1 recruit for 2018. While he committed to Clemson in mid-December, the matter is far from settled for the Tigers. Just last week, Nick Saban paid a visit to the five-star gunslinger. Also potentially playing into Lawrence's recruiting -- Clemson inked five-star QB Hunter Johnson (as well as four-star QB Chase Brice) on National Signing Day. Should Lawrence be looking for a more wide-open path to a starting gig, his commitment could wobble. Particularly if Johnson comes on strong in offseason practices.

Lawrence is All In. He has been aggressively recruited by UGA since he was in 8th grade. And Chase Brice + Hunter Johnson were CU Locks well before TL ever made his decision to commit. I believe Johnson had even signed his Financial Aid papers and was all set to enroll in January.

They have a freshman that started this year. They also have a very highly rated freshman coming in this fall. Never underestimate Saban's recruiting but TLAW's decision will probably not be made based on the competition he will face coming in because at this point BAMA, Georgia, and Clemson will all have good QB's regardless of where he goes. I think his decision will be based on other factors. He is not likely to make a decision based on the competition he faces.

there currently nothing to see...TL was tweeting like crazy about Clemson and saying he can't wait to be there after his "visit" from Saban. Dabo also visited same day I believe. Could have been day before...

Verify with Tiger Woods but I'm pretty sure Saban really didn't "visit" as reported, he went to TL's high school. Everything else that's been said is well documented. He's been recruited by both. Sounds like sour grapes and trying to sell a story by Rivals.
Isn't Rivals the one that ALWAYS gives Clemson a low grade ???

Nick is trying his best to avoid Clemson in the playoffs again. He knows Lawrence is close to Deshaun Watson caliber player. He wouldn't want no part of a Clemson team with Lawrence at QB.

Yep and he has went on to say that if he didn't play football he would go to Clemson. It is his school of choice, end of story.

Georgia has a 5* sophomore and 5* freshman
Bama has sophomore jalen hurts and the dude from Hawaii who's a 4*. Don't know how those two schools are a more wide open path.
