It's been mentioned, but the ACC is killing us. More proof:

Boston College: They are Army's only win. Army's season includes a loss to Stoney Brook.
Duke: The ACC's Coastal Division leader has a 37 point loss to a Pac-12 team
Georgia Tech: Lost to Middle Tennessee State by 3 touchdowns
Maryland: Lost to UConn (who is 3-5); beat William & Mary by 1 point
Miami: Lost to Kansas State by 39; lost to Notre Dame by 38
UNC: Nothing too bad - except that they give their football players A's without having to attend class
NCState: Lost by 2 touchdowns to lower echelon SEC team on National TV
Virginia: 2 OOC losses
Wake Forest: Beat Liberty by only 3; FSU loss (52-0)

I agree that the ACC....

needs to start playing better against OOC opponents; especially BCS OOC opponents.

One thing about South Carolina being in the SEC
Oct 22, 2012, 10:26 AM

Chances are they will never win their conference. No matter how good they are, someone will be better. They will never consistently out recruit LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M and Florida. I believe that Tennessee and Auburn have recruiting advantages over them also. Let them brag about being in the SEC. The one year they did win their division they got trounced by Auburn. They will always be a fan-base that lives vicariously through the achievements of their big brothers.

Never have so many done so little with so much for so few so often as usuc. They never have brought anything to the table that matters.

You actually have to beat them first. Look at the combined out of conference teams SC, Miss St and UGa have beaten...No different than claiming ACC weakness.

They are in a good FB conference, per all the pundits, and there are some very good teams in it. There also are some pretty mediocre ones.

The one that hurts us the most is this (in my opionion)--
Oct 22, 2012, 10:45 AM
|
|
Vols --> NCST --> FSU --> Clemson.
VOLS did nothing in the SEC ... Who did they beat? So essentially, the low end of the SEC has beaten the best team in the ACC in FSU and also Clemson. That is the only link to us and FSU.
I don't know if our numbers will jump high if we beat NCST. This is going to confuse the computer and potentially throw the VOLS win against Clemson since we defeated NCST.
Another one that for sure will help, beat the crap out of USUCK
I hope it all makes sense...

This is ACC football

The only teams in the ACC with the potential to become powerhouses are Miami, FSU, VT, and Clemson.
The real Boston College has stood up. They had probably their best teams ever or at least since the Flutie era their first three or four years in the conference. That only happens about every 20-25 years with them.
GT might have about three or four above average teams every 20 years or so.
UNC, Maryland, and NCSU will always be average at best.
UVA, Wake, and Duke consider bowl eligible a great season.
