Actually, because she won't go because it's pointless. There's no winning with conservative media, and the Biden administration knows it. No matter what the Biden administration does Fox is going to spin it negatively so the Biden and Kamala are simply not going to waste their time and political capital dancing to Fox's tune and issues, they're just going to ignore them and let Fox's opinion hosts ventilate away since that's what they're going to do anyway.
This is the problem with setting yourself up into entrenched camps and being a permanent opposition party that stands for nothing but taking you down. The GOP's sole issue right now is pretty much just "We Hate Democrats." Gosh, awesome platform. So profound. And the other side just starts ignoring you.
And Biden actually already paid attention to what Trump did that actually worked. They put the squeeze on the Guatamalan, El Salvadorian, and Mexican governments, and tied their aid to their militaries stopping convoys and known smugglers from operating across the border.

Ignoring the joke that started all this, but when you start rationalizing and justifying someone not physically laying eyes on the massive problem spot that they've been hand-selected to address, you're carrying someone's water. There's zero excuse for her not visiting multiple locations on the border by this point.
This is like an auto exec being selected by a CEO to turn around a plant that has horrible quality control and productivity, and the exec says "I got it" and then never visits the plant.

Again, how big a deal the border is depends largely on which media outlets you're watching. Sorry to say it's true, but it's true. You pick up the liberal rags, it gets barely a mention, and those are the issues they're running and winning on right now.
The border issue is just a loser, and if they go there they're going to get creamed on it...so they're staying away, probably until they can cool it down. They know Kamala doing a tour isn't going to do much except optics anyhow, and any optics are going to be all bad.
One thing I think they got real aware of during Obama's term is, you do not play the game by Fox's rules, because all you do is lose. Fox wants to talk about the border? Then the border does not exist.
Again, this is why we gotta get back to equal-time with the media, IMHO. Dividing our media up into camps like this allows our politicians to just duck issues like this, especially when they have the hot hand on the big current issues like Biden does at the moment. But good luck for anybody worried about immigration even getting a chance to ask the Biden camp the question anytime soon.

She's getting away with it, my man, because the absence of equal-time laws means there's two medias, "conservative" and "regular".
And because the conservative "media" - so-called - does not give a rat's a$$ about journalistic standards and does not remotely concern itself with truth, the "regular" media feels entitled to ignore it and treat it with contempt.
Mind, the "regular" media has not exactly been covering itself with glory lately either, but the fact that the "conservative" media cares about the issue means the "regular" means almost reflexively doesn't.
That ain't healthy. Again, the way around that is what's called "equal-time" laws. We got away from those in the 80's...and that's when the media did start splitting into two different camps. Forbes - not exactly a bastion of liberalism - proposed a return to equal-time just last year, in fact.

Yup. Am libertarian.
Fox is creating waves of Fascists right now, CNN/MSNBC waves of Wokists. Libertarians' entire ethos, honestly, largely reduces down to "eff off", and we're going to go with whatever gets us the most peace and quiet.
Fox makes people bothersome. Actually so does cable news in general. They just rile people up. Nobody ever started a civil war over a BBC news broadcast.
Libertarians believe in people making their own decisions. I just strongly prefer those to be informed decisions. Kind of hard for that to be the case when they're getting all their information from malevolent Infotainers like Tucker Carlson or activist shills posing as news anchors like Rachel Maddow, you know?
Makes people all crazy-like. And then they bother me with their bullsh!t.
