Now Clemson doesn't have him avialable for a time. If for nothing else he should refrain for the integrity of our University.
I get defensive about our players but this one is guilty of having his emotions harm his team mates. That ain't cool and it doesn't matter what the circumstances.

Why in hell would you think dishonoring your program in a moment of victory, looking like a hoodlum, getting yourself suspended for at least a game, and looking like a bully against a guy you had 100 pounds on, could possibly in a million years look AWESOME?

It shows you have to resort to cheap shots to make an impact. You want to see awesome use that anger to flatten him on the next block. Terrible representation of Clemson. We do not want to become thug U like some others. Multi-game suspension a minimum.

to cause Battle to suddenly stop, turn around, listen and then overreact. They bumped each other as the play was ending and, on the replay, the NCS player immediately began yapping at Battle. Battle walks away. The NCS player follows and continues to talk ####. Battle gives him a hand "brush off" or a "full of crap" gesture. The NCS player keeps following, keeps running his mouth and then escaltes things with whatever he may have said and gets grazed by a punch. Then dramatizes the contact all the way to the ground making sure he lands complete with a flip to simulate more contact than was there. Not condoning Battles mistake but, the other guy had it coming and probably should have chosen a career in soccer.

Great thread to show who are the woo hooers. It's football and for all of you whimps its a freaking fist fight on the line of scrimmage for the whole game. When the game is over and some punk that does not participate in the man's game on the line of scrimmage shoves his helmet into your facemask and jaws in your face - F@#% him.

Maybe it has a lot to do with how old you are, how you were raised, etc. I'm old, was raised by parents that resembled a nun and a monk, but I never, ever took chit off of anyone. I can't even remember fighting anyone smaller than myself, but plenty of big guys and bullies. It's just a mindset. Either you're an effing wuss and you take chit off of people, and turn away rather than fight, or you knock them into next week. Battle did that. I don't know his reasons, but it appeared that he was provoked as he made a sudden turn and decked the turd from State. I won't agree that it's awesome, but if Battle had a legitimate reason to deck the guy, then chit happens. Let it go unless you know what the little turd said. Saying Battle was wrong is wrong. I'm pretty sure that the guy said something really bad to provoke Battle, so I'm with Battle on this one. Don't ever take chit from anyone. PERIOD.

...was Byrd, the same guy that Tajh shoved at the end of the second play of the game. I'm not sure what Byrd said either time, and I don't condone losing your composure, but I guarantee that little menstrual chunk got what he deserved. I just wonder what kind of chit he was talking between the second play of the game and Battle's ejection. Hopefully Battle isn't out for too long, but it sure didn't seem like he was sorry he did it. And from the way Tajh and Battle both reacted to the scumbag, I doubt he is sorry. Either way, what's done I done. I just hope we can get someone who can play right tackle without giving up a sack or pressure on every pass play.

out to be, though. some of the things that are said on the field are uncalled for, this i do know. none of us know what was actually said or done, however, so we can't be judge,jury and executioner in this instance,imo. but i contend that the state player acted a tad, after the incident as well, to make it appear worse than it was.
