This almost feels unreal now that the Chapel Hill streak is over

Jan 11, 2020, 7:39 PM

Granted, we know this UNC team isn't the level we're used to seeing but we know the history...even when the Heels are down, they've found a way to win against Clemson on their home court. And of course, we know this year's team has had its issues. Which understandably, meant low expectations from a sizable portion of the fan base (myself included).

Only thing I can say is what an effort by this team and staff to pull off what felt like the impossible. It could've been very easy for this team to fold up, but going on a 12-2 run with less than 2 minutes to go and hold UNC without a FG. Amir Simms had to have ice in his veins to come up with the clutch plays he did.

I'm not expecting that this is going to lead to a magical run to the NCAA tournament. Nor am I going to say that it should allow Brownell to continue to lead the program after this year. For at least tonight, Coach Brownell, his staff, & his players deserve to celebrate this moment.
