Tigers led Pitt after 1st qtr (7-0) with TD by Freshman Mafa Man!

Earlier we had gone down field with a long pass to Ross which was intercepted near 10 so Our D had played well against Pitt QB Pickett so far..

and we had INT recovery with seconds left in1st qtr and on first play of 2nd qtr Pace had a good run.

What in the hail happened after that?!

Pickett, Pickett & Pickett!

He didn't get Pitt on the board til 3+ minutes left in 1st half..and then another 7pt passing strike with only 40 secs left..for a 14-7 lead at halftime.

Saying, Tiger D was tuff but O let some opportunities go and we even subbed at QB after DJ had that short flip pass to RB grabbed off by a defender and raced in for 7 more pts (21-7 now) starting off 3rd Qtr and it was over.

Will say their fans were Clemson loud entire game; they & their Panther Team were after our assses!

We stopped running the ball, just like we did against LSU in the NC.

TE refused to stick to the run.

Mafah was my fave last year but injuries or not practicing well had him 3rd on the depth chart. He is a bruiser and a much needed body type to run between the tackles.

Shipley's drop changed the game. In years' past we would have recovered from one big play, but last year we just didn't have the leadership or confidence to do it.

But if Shipley had caught that wide open pass over the middle and gone for a touchdown at that time I believe we would have won that game! Big total team letdown after that drop! Time for Shipley to step up big time and let his on-field actions speak louder than all the rhetoric he is putting out there with his mouth! You wanna lead this team then prove it on the field!
