Think about this.

None of us knows how long this pandemic will be around or how it will affect the sports world in the coming months. We certainly can’t be sure that spring ball will happen or what the summer may bring as far as practice is concerned. Many of the experts, not politicians, have hinted that we may be another year away from total freedom from this virus. We have all heard the coaches say how very important spring practice is to getting the team organized and ready to play in the following season. From what I have seen thus far this year, neither of the young QBs are close to being able to lead the team as TL is doing now. I think that they desperately need a good spring and summer workouts to be in a position to replace #16 when the time comes. Wouldn’t it be great if Trevor chose to play next season and give the young guy another year to develop? Likely will not happen but he is a dedicated young man to Clemson.

Thanks for the positive replies. Dabo is a magic man! How great would it look for Clemson and Coach Swinneyto have TL stay considering all the national hype he has created in the last few years.
I know that I personally would feel a LOT better going into next seasons opening game with Trevor leading the way with a group of receivers who will be much better by then. Can’t wait,

If we win a Natty this season I believe he will enter the draft as number 1 but I wouldn’t be surprised if he stayed if we didn’t, of course we could lose DJ in the process.

I don’t think we would lose DJ. Remember, this year doesn’t count!

I'm not so sure. I think DJ wants to be the starter next year and putting that off another whole year along with being able to be THE Man at another school for the 2021 season, would be tempting to enter that ole portal. I don't want him entering any portal. .

for a large majority of other schools? I mean, it puts us at a disadvantage only to the handful of schools that have 4th and 5th yr senior starters at QB... And I'll take DJs raw talent along with the rest of our very skilled team over them anyhow.
But, a fella can dream i spose ??
Sometimes i think its important to just remember how grateful we are that we've gotten this many games in. It was never a given.

I work with a lot of Samoan people and they take a lot of pride in their word. He committed to Clemson. Uiagalelei, who is of Samoan descent, sticks to his word- even if TL16 comes back.

Tlaw needs to move on to greener pastures. No one should "own" a job or a position in this life. Grow and prosper. Take on new challenges. Move on. Let the younger folks advance. DJ is perfectly capable just like those younger people where you work. When it's your time, RETIRE. Every one can be replaced.
