Things are well for me in central Florida.

Nov 10, 2022, 11:57 AM

Nicole came on land just after midnight, well south of me. It is still south of me heading to the gulf coast. Right now it looks like it will go right up the coast from just north and head into western Georgia and slowly turn toward the east.

That is good news for me tomorrow. Looks like I'll be driving thru cloudy weather, in and out of light rain, with 10 mph winds most of the way. We aren't in any hurry, so we can mosey if the weather gets bad.

Weather looks great for the game. Can't wait. Jimmy, the guy coming with me, is as excited as I am to be going. His wife bought him a purple Clemson shirt and sweatshirt. I've got my military appreciation day t-shirt. We've both got our Tiger Paw hats. Looking forward to meeting as many of y'all as possible.

"Jest tee it up and let's play!"

Oh yeah, I did lose power for a few hours.

Went off at 5:00 AM. Came back on at 11:30. We'll be having wind gusts up to 20-25 mph for a few more hours. But, very little rain. Living 40 miles from both coasts has its advantages.

Glad all is well with this one. We lived in S. Florida for 10 years so I know the drill well.

we got a direct hit 4 miles from the coast when it made landfall. I sat out in my car to get a front-row seat when the eyewall came through. I could barely hear the wind over the sound of the air conditioner and my luxurious, ultra-quiet cabin.

Living in the middle of the state...

.... being hit with the eyewall is one of those pleasures in life we just don't get to enjoy. Glad you're safe.

Anyone care to guess what music Balm was listening to ? I don't know whether to guess Beethoven or Hendrix.

Wonder if anybody has ever seen Tony Orlando and Balm in the same room?

We are in Orlando for a conference. There's been nothing more here than gusting wind and some rain. Most of the restaurants are closed on International Dr., making things inconvenient. It should all be out of here later this afternoon.

Hope to see you Saturday. I will be with my nephew in lot 5 for a few. Safe travels Bretfsu. I arrived late yesterday in Clemson from Illinois. Long trip for this old goat.
