If the NIL has taught us anything....

May 3, 2022, 12:57 PM

Its that while capitalism is a beautiful thing, it must be maintained.

I know to most of you I'm just a libtard but I might be a republican if they would get the hell out of my personal choices.

Truth be told the Dems are equally if not more disappointing simply because they are the "Intellectuals".

NIL must be, gulp, regulated. Problem is we got no one in the government capable.

Intellectuals? LOLOLOLOL

May 3, 2022, 1:02 PM

That believe in more than 2 genders (of which you can choose by personal preference), men can get pregnant, everything should be free, and communism works? GTFOOH!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah.

May 3, 2022, 1:05 PM

The whole gender thing makes me question people's sanity.

Problem is so do Trump supporters.

There is no place for me.

That ship has saiked

May 3, 2022, 1:06 PM

It's gone for good short of player unionization and a collective bargaining agreement.

Haven't thought about that. Great point!

If the schools start paying the players

What do conservatives want to control in your life?

May 3, 2022, 1:53 PM

I would suggest it is the left that wants to control everything, especially personal choices.

The intellectual comment reflects more of an academic perspective but understand intellect has absolutely nothing to do with wisdom. The fact that liberals by nature are more arts-social science oriented in their “knowledge” will lean the numbers of “intellectuals” more into their bucket versus hard, technical “knowledge”.

Capitalism is not perfect but is quantifiably better than any other system - nothing is close to this point.

Interesting post and I appreciate it. There is an argument to be made about control on both sides. On the eve of Roe verses Wade being overturned though this might be bad timing.

No government is perfect but by far ours is better than the other superpowers for sure.

Arguing that preventing abortion is controlling you is

May 3, 2022, 3:17 PM

Literally the worst, most asinine argument one can make. You whored around and got knocked up, now its your responsibility to care for the living being inside of you. Its akin to saying the government is controlling you by making it illegal to murder people that p!ss you off or inconvenience you.

Abortion is a difficult topic

May 3, 2022, 3:30 PM

I could never do it. I also understand all the arguments.

Most of this is religion based. I don't want a government tilted towards any one religion. This is just how I feel about it.

I like a good discussion even if we disagree so appreciate your perspective.

The Roe v Wade current discussion isn’t about outlawing abortion, it is about giving states the right to decide, as it was before RvW. CA will clearly maintain legalized abortions where as Arkansas may not. Everything in life doesn’t or shouldn’t be left solely up to the federal govt.

Cheers.

They're simply giving power to the states instead of mass

May 4, 2022, 9:48 AM [ in reply to Re: What do conservatives want to control in your life? ]

federal mandates of the legalization of abortion. Which is how it is supposed to be handled in a republic in the first place. Pro choice avenues will still be available but it will be funded by the states that want to keep it. I can't see the problem with this. ITs the fairest way available. If a person wants to abort babies do it in one of the crazy people states that are self funding it.

I do as well. Civility is seemingly getting lost in this cell phone era. I miss it.
