I've been watching on CNN all day.........

Feb 23, 2023, 3:14 PM

I think he's screwed. He's admitting all of his stealing/financial crimes so he'll go to prison for those. But he's opened himself from what I've been able to tell regarding the murders of his wife an son - too many conflicting information, etc.

Now he's trying to paint himself out to be a victim of opiode addiction if if that's an excuse.

I this the prosecution will be rough on him during cross examination.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

he's a professional liar

1

Feb 23, 2023, 3:20 PM

and has been for years.

he and his team must think that the jury will believe him now

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They're desparate because all they can do is.......

Feb 23, 2023, 3:31 PM

try to paint him out to be a loving husband and father who was overcome by an addiction problem that caused him to steal, etc. And then he turns on the tears to make himself look appealing to the jury.

I think the prosecution will make him regret taking the stand today.

exactly

Feb 23, 2023, 3:42 PM

much of his testimony seemed designed to make the jury not hate him, for lack of better way to put it

will be interesting to see how he deals with the prosecution

I feel bad for that chicken that Bubba killed!***

yet he's obviously not very good at it.***

I wager the prosecution will get this con artist to charge the DA with blood in his eyes. Gonna be great theatre.

The better half is obsessed with the trial so I've seen and heard more than interests me. I can say I beloeve that he is guilty as heII of many things but, IMO, I do not think he would blow his son's head off and kill his wife by shooting her multiple times.

Although, who knows what the jury will do. If I was Murdaugh, I would hope the jurors can hear better than the investigators.

According to a defense witness someone 3’ tall would have fired the rifle. But what about someone crouching down to aim?

The chat group on the Fox21 feed decided he was sitting in the ATV when he fired.

It's a shame the dogs can't testify.

He may not have done the actual killings but he hired the people who did. Then had them disappear.

People don’t realize how truly corrupt and narcissistic this man and his family are. He would do whatever it would take to get him out of these scandals and crimes to save his ###, including murder. Both sons had blood on their hands and he’d stolen millions from his clients. His housekeeper just “slipped” on some steps at their home and died from a major head injury. He was desperate and had always gotten away with everything, so why wouldn’t he get away with murdering his family? Officials in Hampton and Colleton counties had always looked the other way.

Like OJ, his claim will be to look for the real killers for the rest of his life. He’ll have to do so looking out from the prison bars. A scumbag born with every advantage .. that p’d it all away.

I heard from a local attorney down here that the defense is going to call a witness that will explain where the “missing” blue shirt is and he has a reasonable explanation why Murdaugh could not have been wearing it if he murdered his family. Stay tuned.
What a mess.

Give him credit for taking the stand when he killed his family***

He either did it or hired someone to do it. This is such a crazy case with so much going on. One of the craziest I’ve ever seen. I watch dateline, 48 hours and all the others and have seen so many different cases over the years.
The nuttiest one I’ve seen is the one coming up in April on court tv. Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell take the cake.

Paw-Paw, Mags, Ro-Ro, Papa-T references were an attempt to humanize his family and invoke jury sympathy.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I thought he did a great job on the stand today.

Feb 23, 2023, 10:34 PM

His defense team had to be pleased to see two jurors crying during his testimony. One of the jurors handed Murdaugh tissues when he was crying. Powerful connection he made with them!

People like these are the reason many people don't like the old south. Snotty gentry that think they can get away with anything and this is nothing new. Dudes like this think their poop doesn't stink.

Even if he beats the murder raps, he still be in prison the rest of his life for the financial and tax crimes. And he hasn't even heard from the IRS yet.
