Except the logic needs to be applied both ways. They were a play away from losing to an awful Virginia team. Never mind the fact that ND doesn't necessarily beat us if they do get the 2pt conversion. I hate chatter like that, it's meaningless.

I mean there are like 40 bowls right now? Geez--most or those are participation bowls and not real rewards for real teams. I think if you expand it it destroys how exciting the regular season was. ND played in playoff games against Clemson and Stanford and . . . lost.

conversion after their first TD in our game. If Kelly doesn't panic there and push the premature button on that call then they're simply kicking an extra point for the tie at the end instead of getting stuffed AGAIN by the Tiger D. Oh well, live and learn.

After they get beat in the Fiesta Bowl, they'll only be 0-3 and 3 plays away from being undefeated, No. 1, and national champs in his 8-team playoff dream!
