There is no reason...with no timeouts...and a 6 second difference with shot clock...down 2....to not try to extend the game and make a marginal FT shooting team beat you at the line.

Best case scenario there was getting the ball with like 4 seconds left. If they score its over. We could've fouled twice and had them on the line shooting 1 and 1 with ~30 seconds left. That would've given us at least two possessions to cut the lead.

But we did not.
Truly puzzling.
One difference today is that they typically came out of a timeout with a nice play that worked.
We came out of timeouts and turned it over.

They aren’t marginal they were 329/340 in division I. That makes them a bad free throw shooting team.

Like they started horrible and became marginal.
They were 6 out of 9 for the game.
Totally needed to put them on the line.
