ND Showtime Show Observations

1. The show really showed how bad the weather was. It was hard to see on tv at times, but seeing it up close showed how wet everything was.
2. Those ND boys knew what they were walking in to. There was a hesitation about them. They weren't ready for it.
3. Sheldon Day didn't know where Clemson was on a map. He knows now.
4. They said we had one good receiver. The simple fact that I had to ask myself who they were talking about pretty much shows that is a dumb comment.
5. Lastly, while watching the ND WRs hang their heads on dropped passes, I was reminded that these are 18-22 year old kids who have a ton of pressure on them. I am sure our boys feel the same.

I think the entire coaching staff & players were scared of what DV had in store for them.

owner.' I have a couple questions.
1. Did they blame the rain on Clemson beating them in the trenches?
2. Had they figured out that their QB's concern about our D-linemen was most of their problem passing the ball?
3. Did they complain about Clemson being the most violent tacklers they'd ever faced?
4. Have they figured out that we're faster, better conditioned, better prepared, better coached, more focused and so much less full of ourselves than they?
5. Do they understand that the pressure on their QB would have been exactly the same rain or shine, day or night, on earth or the moon and everybody in the country knows it?

in a 40 year event. That show gave Clemson more respect than the others. ND self destructed and lost the game. Hitler self destructed when surrounded by the Red Army too right?
Forever thankful for this link- epic game, epic perspective from this link. TY!

1) ND themselves did not....the narrator did say it though (said it was a combination of 4 turnovers and the bad weather, as if only one team was affected by it).

I actually hope that we don't have to see Notre Dame again this season. It was a good game, and I'm glad we came out on top.

I think it's unlikely.

If they win out they might make the Play Off but that means at least two of the conference champions must be 'two loss,' teams. It looks like Bama will run the table in the SEC. The only team that has the offense to beat them in the west seems to be AnM. Even if UF has two losses and beats Bama in the SECCCG ND won't take that spot.
NW or Michigan might cause Mich State or OSU a loss but I doubt ND could displace either of them if they are one loss B1G champs. Either of the four could make and win the B1GCCG. It's definately a maybe.
It's Baylor, TCU and OU in the Big 12. I don't think the committee will leave out a one loss Big 12 for ND. It's a round robin race there so I doubt the champ will have two losses.
PAC seems to be the only conference with parity to produce a two loss champ. I'm guessing the USC/ND matchup may factor into that. Maybe?
The best case ACC scenario for ND is for FSU to pound us in the ground then fail in the ACCCCG miserably. That might leave the ACC out. Having ESPiN dismissing the ACC as a contender for nine months doesn't help. Azzholes!
What kills ND is it's SOS now that they've probably lost to the best team they'll face in the regular season.
Seems like there's too many 'ifs' for ND to make it this year. Maybe 'if,' ND is left out a few times when they have only one loss the ACC can get their attention.

The half....tells his players that they definitely have the better team???? Really????? Clearly.,,,just the opposite(at least.,,from 1 half of football).

From my point of view, you could definitly see the rain on tv.But I wish I had been there. I think Notre Dame was ready, but maybe a bit over confident. Brian Kelly knew where Clemson was,but did you see the expression on his face when he saw the team run down the hill, and heard the crowd noise. I don't think he expected that! Both teams had good recievers.Would have loved to seen a wide open attack by both teams in decent weather. And finally thanks for reminding us that these are just young kids( boys) playing a game, and giving it all they had.

Yea, that show... The one thing that does stand out watching it - they do have a good group of kids. They're all very well spoken, complimentary and seem to behave well. No Jameis or JungleboiSwag's running around on that team. I've watched every episode, just trying to learn the players in anticipation of our game. I can't help but to like them. Sure, they were the enemy - but as far as a team of football players, there are much worse out there.
And you're right about the last part. We watch these guys and it's easy to think they're adults out there, but they are still pretty much kids. It's weird - the faces of multi-million dollar D1 Football programs, somewhat celebritites and they're basically professional athletes.. But for the most part, they're still kids.

On your last point - precisely why I think this kind of show

is bad for them to be in. The camera changes everything. They should be enjoying playing fb for a major D1 program without the cameras in their face all the time.
IMHO
