Aug 18, 2021, 9:38 AM

Thats a whole lot of "meh". I have no idea how it performs.

In fairness to Nissan, that’s a bad yellow. It did look a little better in blue.

I just picked one that had a side shot.

Aug 18, 2021, 9:43 AM

There aren't too many of those. I wasn't expecting much; It's still Nissan.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

looks a lot more like an old Z. I like it.

Never was a fan of the last version.

Now let's see them update the GT-R.

Did they ever even sell that in the US?***

R34 Skyline.

They are finally getting old enough to import to the US but you're going to spend $100K easily to get one. I'm not a ricer and I'd love to have one. Twin Turbo, AWD and a stick. They are badass.

Agree, APM.

Aug 18, 2021, 10:25 AM [ in reply to looks a lot more like an old Z. I like it. ]

Definitely a nod to the classic. Always liked the Z cars in my youth, although I have zero need for one these days. I'd opt for a motorcycle over a sports car if I was going to go down that road.

They look pretty good...

Aug 18, 2021, 9:52 AM

Twin turbo V6, a real manual trans, RWD and sporty chassis. At only 400hp, they clearly left a lot on the table. They are a cheaper Supra.

Was basically the September 2020 unveiling redux.

Aug 18, 2021, 10:12 AM

It was everything we've already known and seen since last year. Apparently the base price will be slightly higher than expected and it was nice to see it in blue, but that's about it.

Overall I find it hard to complain as long as there's still a Z on the market.

How much is it?***

Aug 18, 2021, 10:26 AM

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Starts around $40k, so loaded will be closer to $50k.***

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Adjusted for inflation the original 240Z would cost $26,229.

Aug 18, 2021, 11:03 AM

Everyone talks about how houses have become so expensive and college has become so expensive, but what about cars? In 1971 a new Corvette cost an inflation adjusted $37k. They were also unsafe, unreliable pieces of ####, but... $37k!!

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Thats not terrible, I guess.

Aug 18, 2021, 11:04 AM [ in reply to Starts around $40k, so loaded will be closer to $50k.*** ]

I mean when a Ford pickup truck can get close to $100K.
