They lose Defensive Tackle Blake McClain
Class of 2014 defensive tackle Blake McClain is no longer with the South Carolina football program. TheBigSpur.com has learned that McClain has, as of February 15, signed to play at Pearl River C.C. next season.
McClain, who was a three-star prospect out of Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Fla., redshirted last season. He had injuries to his hand and his foot that caused him to miss all of summer and fall workouts and he only returned to practice more than halfway through the season.
McClain is the fifth player from South Carolina’s defense to leave the program joining defensive end Mason Harris, defensive tackle Deon Green and linebackers Marcquis Roberts and Kaiwan Lewis. Six scholarship players on offense also left with one, running back Mike Davis, electing to turn pro early.
McClain flipped his commitment from Nebraska to South Carolina at the end of the recruiting process last season.

He was a solid prospect at the one position you want solid depth.
He's only a RS Freshman. Things are getting crazy.
