So when LSU blows out Tua-less Bama

I'm thinking to the tune of 42-20, does that put an end to Bamas playoffs hopes(of them being the 2nd SEC team in)? Or can they lose 100 to 0, and the Tua excuse still be enough to give them a pass?

I must be behind on the news. I thought Tua had emergency surgery to repair a sprained ankle so that he could be back in play for LSU.

which gives Bama and clowns like Paul Finebaum a built-in excuse as to why a Bama loss shouldn't really count against them at least as it pertains to the CFP.

Never underestimate Bama's ability to make effective excuses.
Their fatigue excuses from the national championship were so good last year it has resulted in them being ranked #1 this season with very little evidence to warrant that ranking over LSU or OSU.
But it doesn't stop there.....
Their excuses are so effective, they have literally convinced everyone that we were overrated and needed to be dropped 2 spots in 2 weeks while averaging winning by over 30 points in each game.

If it's only 42-20, LSU will move to #1 and Alabama will fall to #2. If it's 100-0, LSU will move to #1, and Alabama will free fall all the way down to #4.

It would be a talking point without a doubt, and I think it would be considered if comparing them to another 1 loss team for the CFP. However, I don't see it mattering if they're being compared to any unbeaten P5 team including Clemson.
The Bama schedule just isn't all that impressive. LSU and Auburn are the only 2 teams on their schedule that are currently ranked in the top 25. A&M was ranked at the time of their game, but A&M was also on Clemson's schedule as is South Carolina. Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Miss State will all likely finish with losing records so that really only leaves them with LSU and Auburn in comparing them to Clemson.
The committee may consider them playing without Tua in a loss to LSU, but it's not as if the committee is going to reward them as if they won that game either. Auburn would be a solid win for them even though Auburn will probably be ranked a little further back in the top 25 by the time they play, but that one win would not get them in over an unbeaten team.

Nope. There is no comparison between a one loss ANYBODY and an undefeated defending national champion on a 28 game tear.

SEC teams are afforded quality losses so this would bolster their ranking. Instead of being number one they would be given the trophy without having to play the championship.

Tua will be back. Not an issue at all. How close to 100% should be a discussion. But the procedure won't keep him from that game.

true, and run the ball down LSU's throat early, then their backup QB will start hitting those 25 NFL receivers ESPN claims Bama has. The glass slipper will finally fall off, and Joe Burrow will turn back into an Average Joe. Nil Nicky and the Putrid Pachyderms take care of another SEC pretender again. The rest of the SEC still thinks there is an aura of invincibility around Bama. Clemson knows better. And, Bama knows we know. That is why the SEC War Machine is churning so hard to try and keep us out of the playoffs altogether, that is the only way that Bama doesn't lose to us again.

title.
11-1 Bama, Tua or not, is not getting in ahead of the SEC Champ, 13-0 Clemson, or 12-1 Big Ten Champ. They aren't getting in ahead of 13-0 Oklahoma, and probably not ahead of 12-1 Big XII champ Oklahoma either. Would they even get in ahead of 12-1 Pac Ten Champ Oregon? A lot of people would be pissed if they did.

What if Bama wins without (or with a <100%) Tua?

Does that end the "two teams from the SEC" narrative? Surely LSU will have no argument with a loss to Bama and no SEC title.

It worked for Bama before but I doubt LSU gets the same deference.

Actually they would then guide the Gators to the SEC Championship with 1 loss and push for Bama to get in at 12-1 too since they have the best win over previous #1 LSU.

Nope. Bama could lose by 40. And they’ll still talk about how great they are when Tua plays
