Walmart's Import Distribution Center at

Ridgeville is going to be one massive structure. It will be nearly 3,000,000 sq. ft. That's almost 70 acres under one roof. There will be about 1,000 full time employees. Now, add to this the paved areas for the trucks, trailers and containers. I understand the center will be automated. I would personally like to witness that part of it.

I was headed fishing at 6am a month ago or so and got stuck in an hour long traffic jam at 6am on Saturday morning. Every dump truck in the state of SC was hauling a load of fill into that Walmart site. There had to be 300 trucks and I guess the gate opened at 6, all the drivers waiting to dump. There is a new light at the entrance but they couldn't get in so the traffic was stopped the other 3 directions. Needless to say I was pretty frustrated with my delay but yes that place is giant.
