These fishing charter prices have gotten out of hand.

Went out this morning for some in shore shark fishing, cost $1000 plus tip for 12 people (half were kids). For 5 hours

We did catch about 15 sharks but only 2 were big, a 4 foot one and a 5 foot spinner shark I caught.

Also the guy said he had 2 more 4 hour charters today. So isn’t he making some decent bank for a day fishing?

And everytime it costs about $60 gas for an hour plus of tubing. At this point I’m limiting the tubing to a few times per kid and it’s done for the weekend.

But for this charter we really didn’t go that far, he prob burned about $50 in gas. I understand when you deep sea fish and drive an hour plus into the Ocean and back.

and today it's 2000-2200 for 8 hours, 6 persons in the summer.

Seems about right to me. We have one booked on 7/25 out of Panama City.

I didn't know anyone did that other then on Jaws.

I've always thought of them as a nuisance that will eat your red fish or tarpon if they see them thrashing around.

If you didn't bleed that thing almost immediately that meet is probably burned. I've heard of folks putting them in milk to get the terrible flavor out of it, but I've never tried it.

And my brother in law booked the trip, I would have preferred off shore fishing for game fish but it was still a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed it.
