Virginia center Olusegun Oluwatimi, a 2021 Rimington Trophy finalist, entered the transfer portal after Bronco Mendenhall stepped down as head coach. The rising fifth-year player has one year of eligibility remaining.
247Sports' Sam Webb reported yesterday that Oluwatimi (6-3, 310) took an official visit to Clemson last weekend following his official to Michigan. The visits were back-to-back.
"Coach Swinney is a great dude and one #### of a man," Oluwatimi told Clemson247 Thursday. "He's an all-around great guy, and Clemson is just a great program."
Clemson has yet to dip into the transfer portal this era.
"I'd be the first one at Clemson, coach Swinney let that be known," Oluwatimi said
