These “analysts” are jokes

Jun 4, 2018, 10:02 PM

This is one of the biggest day’s in this kids life and all they talk about is negative. I’ve been watching the MLB network since the first pick and they’ve said nothing but positives about other kids but have been straight negative on him. Go prove em wrong Seth, Clemson family has your back! As your fellow Houston man would say, Go be legendary!

Beer is not a great athlete. He can hit for power but is a liability defensively in the bigs. These analysts are correct.

So you’re telling me there are no red flags with drafting an 18 year old kid without playing any solid competition? But no mention... only talk about the amazing ceiling the kids can hit. The first thing they said when Seth was drafted was “were not here to bash the kids on their big day but...” that’s not okay, if I’m Seth Beer I’m using that as fuel

That’s nice to say but Beer will be lucky to have staying power in the major leagues. I wish him the best and you are right who knows about the other 18 year olds. I’m not an expert but I would be absolutely shocked to see Beer anymore than a career 250 hitter with over a 5 year career in the bigs

Dude ####. Don't say your not an expert then try to give some sort of an expert opinion. You have NO F-ING CLUE what's going to happen. Its funny because most so called experts in every sport have never played the game they're an expert in.

I can’t see a major league team drafting a twenty year old to be a designated hitter. That is a position usually taken by position players who are aging out. Not always!

I have always felt like Clemson should have MADE Beer into a first baseman. I just don’t see him developing into a right fielder. He will most likely be taught to play first in the minor leagues. I have said many times, the right coaches can make this guy into a regular major league player but he has a few years of the minors facing him. Hopefullly, he can become another Denny Walling. A Tiger who had a good career in Houston.

We couldn't afford to lose Williams glove at first in his last year to move him this year, but the minors are all about development and they can take the time to give that a try.

Hes a 1B/ DH all the way in the pros***

He's not fast and not a good OF. He needs to play 1B or DH.

Jun 4, 2018, 10:18 PM

But he can rake so maybe he can be a David Ortiz or Mo Vaughn.

I’d like to know Beer would develop into the kind of first baseman big Popi was.
