There’s ZERO chance the ACC drops them from conference

play this year. Let’s face it we’re going to need that quality win in South Bend on NOV 7 come playoff selection. time.
But have they really brought anything to the ACC other than women’s basketball ?

I guess the good news is that ND still is considered by many to be a "quality" opponent, and a win against them is a "quality" win. I surely have enjoyed the "quality wins" against them the last several times we played them. I will say they do have a rich history (albeit, ancient history). I do agree that ND should be grateful that we let them in completely, this year, but I believe we continue our winning ways against them. It will be considered by many as a "quality" win, and that's okay with me, too.

Yes, they have brought something to the ACC. ND was ACC hoops champ 2014-2015. They are competitive in most sports. They have a valuable national brand name. Nobody’s gonna kick em out of the conference. Just turn the TV off whenever you see any mention of Notre Dame. That will show ‘em.

By the way why would you call Notre Dame ungrateful? What do you think this conference is ..... some kind a socialist snowflake kindergarten? This conference is a business. Notre Dame brings a whole lot to the table. End of story. Move along.

What do you expect them to say? The truth is the ACC title runs through Clemson as it has for several years and as it will be for at least several years to come and Notre Dame and their fans know it. But you don't really expect them to say it do you? Just like you don't really expect Ohio State fans to say Clemson owns them do you?

I think after this year they need to fully join or w end the relationship.

I'm all for ending it. Means more years Clemson can schedule a non conference game against an SEC or BIG 12 opponent.

Shawn Spencer just read some tweets from annoying ND fans

Sep 16, 2020, 8:59 AM

Typical "journalism" these days: take the words of one or a few people and put them in the mouths of a much, much larger entity. Shoot, one of the tweets he shared in that article has zero likes, comments or retweets. So why should we care about what that person has to say? The non-troll, semi-intelligent ND fans aren't saying a d*mn thing because they remember what happened the last (and only) time they made the playoffs.

Those tweets were definitely made by some punchable personalities, and I don't know WHAT in the world ESPN was thinking with that "thank you" thing. It was incredibly moronic and the replies prove that. But despite all that, they're still ranked, help our SOS, help the strength of the conference, and give us a cool road trip under more normal circumstances. So everyone, Shawn Spencer included, just needs to ignore the brain-dead "elitist" fans that actually think they have something to be elitist about, and looking forward to beating the Irish to death with a sack of potatoes in November. After that, my hope is that they'll submissively accept that the ACC benefits them and they join permanently. Because y'all need to realize: ND is NOT a threat, but it will be good for us when they join in football.
