Fashionistas: you ever buy multiples of same clothing item?

(and I don't mean socks and undershirts)
Was contemplating this over the weekend.....I have this fishing shirt that just looks/fits right, love everything about it. I bitterly regret not buying another one because now they don't make them any more.
I don't think I've ever owned two of the exact same shirt, color, everything. Pants yeah, I do it all the time. I find a pair of jeans/khakis that fit perfect at right price, I buy 2, maybe even 3 pairs of exact make/model. Because I know they don't last that long, I rip more pairs of pants than anything.
Why don't I ever think to do that with shirts? Shoes too, actually, there are some shoes I wish I had another exact new pair. I suppose my mistake is thinking that a certain item will be made always to the end of time. But that ain't the truth.

I have also bought multiple pairs of the same shoe.
Usually I will buy multiples of something I like, but just in a different color.

more pairs, immediately went to work from home haha.....But I wear them every Sunday, just getting more longevity out of them than originally planned.
Also, super proud of reproducing my t-shirt from the 90s of my Grandad's bar. Bought an extra of those also.

buy 10 of every Hanes Beefy-T with an awesome bootleg design that students made and sold door to door.
Those were the greatest Clemson shirts in history. Tigertown Graphics wishes they could make shirts that awesome.

Yeah, I buy about 5 packs of Lucky Brand boxer

briefs at a time. I get swamparse, shart, and otherwise sweat in my nuts so much that I sometimes wear 2-3 pairs a day. So I legitimately have about 100 pairs of boxer briefs (3 full drawers full). I do an inspection about every month and then throw 5-10 pairs away and replace with a fresh pack.

I had some ridiculously comfortable slip on loafers...

that I freaking loved and I would go back by the shoe store where I bought them to get something else periodically and they would be sitting there on the shelf. Well, they finally reached a point where they were too worn out to keep wearing so I go to replace them and yep, discontinued or replaced with some ugly ####. So I found a different pair. Loved em. Same story. Did not learn a lesson.
Should probably go and buy a couple of pairs of what I have on right now for that reason.

Shoes. Not necessarily for the style or brand, but because

of fit.
Wilbur has a very wide foot (3EEE) and I have a difficult time finding shoes. I gotta get lucky to find comfortable shoes because of that. For that reason, I buy a lot on Zappo's and usually buy another pair once I get the 1st and they fit.
Also, when I'm in Milwaukee, I'll drive to Port Washington and hit the Allen Edmonds outlet. Best shoes made in America.

and then bought me the same one a few months later, for xmas.
she didn't even realize....took me a minute or two, also...
I think that's the only EXACT match I've got (outside of socks or underwear).
I WILL stock up on different colors/patterns of stuff if I like'em, though

Bought a pair of brown shoes and wore them a week

Felt so good I bought the same in black.
I have 4 pairs of the same UDP jeans I wear to my outdoor job. 2 prs are the size I should be, 2 are my fat size. Usually on Monday I need the fats due to post weekend bloat and good to go with the others the rest of the week.
Might wear the fats on a weekend if lots of food and drink is involved

I have a few staples that I buy Multiple pairs of -
Sperry 3-eyed Billfish 2 pairs for every day, with a third pair to be demoted to concert shoes every 9-15 months when I bring another pair into the rotation. This was a lot easier pre-pandemic, as most of the time I don't even bother to put shoes on since I'm working from home.
Khaki/Seersucker Shorts - It's easier to keep the same ones around.
Jeans - I Buy 2 new pairs a year, and add them into the rotation. This is getting a bit higher since I'm doing a lot more in the shop now, and I have a bad habit of spilling epoxy or paint on myself.
Dress Shirts - Twice a year, I order 2-3 new dress shirts from MH Frank - they have the Stantt custom shirts, so I usually just pick a few in a new fabric and monogram color/font.
Polos - I'll order 3 of the Endzone Orange Polos from Southern tide each spring, and toss in 2-3 other skipjack polos.
Boxers - I'll usually order multiple from southern tide, but never more than 2 of the same pattern/style.

about 10 years. We buy them for my boys now, but I have found other shoes I like a little better.
Lems Boat Shoe is a good one. And Clark's Chukkas, if you are feeling nostalgic.

Salut. Wish I had the foresight and style confidence.
Still not sure if best to use them all simultaneously to get equal rotation wear & tear, or save as a line of replacement.
I tend to "save" the pants I do buy in bulk. I have 3 or 4 new pairs of Clemson khaki Dockers and a couple pair of Levis in the deep navy color I prefer (both I found on 50%+ off clearance sales) stored in the closet for future service when called upon. I don't think they make either anymore, so I really feel great about those decisions. Jeans and khakis really never go out of style, so not like they will ever look massively dated.

I got those Dockers a few years ago but they are too baggy

so I made them into REALLY short shorts with a frayed edge and everything. I think they were $15 when I bought them. I swear I have the orange ones somewhere as well, I need to look through the closet.

There was a grey beard engineer I worked with at my last job

Every day he had what we all called "his uniform." Khaki slacks, powder blue, short-sleeve button down shirt, brown leather chukkas.
When he hit his 30 year anniversary with the company, those of us working with him had a "Ray Day." We all dressed in the style of his uniform then there was a roast that afternoon at the program all-hands. His wife was there, shared photos through out the years. And the last photo was of his closet. 6 pairs of khaki slacks, 6 powder blue, short-sleeve button down shirts, one pair of jeans and two flannel shirts (for the weekend).
As for myself, I'm much like Greenr. Running shorts. If I find a style of running shoe I like, I'll wait for a sale and hoard them.
I also like Levi's 569's. I'll buy different styles of denim, but that's my go-to.
