true fact/scenario: anybody who spends any time watching Clemson games knows that Clemson's most reliable team feature is that they WILL have a 6-10 minute scoring drought somewhere during the game, and players need a TO because other team has momentum running up and down the court, but coach don't wanna call TO because they only get like 4 in a game.
We also all know that in football and soccer, a player will fall down and fake an injury to stop the clock and slow the other team's game flow down. It's an obvious and accepted thing now.
So.....why not use that in basketball? Why doesn't Brown-L tell a player to fake-cramp up and stop the game for 5-10 minutes?
Seems to me that would be a SOLID strategy when the other team goes on a 8-0 scoring spree instead of waiting around for the next TV timeout and giving up 2 or 3 more baskets. Is there some hole in this I'm not seeing?
